Thawing out after a brain freeze

Hey everyone! I’m baaaack…. I know you’re probably thinking, “I didn’t even know you went anywhere,” right? I know, I know, the posts have slowed to a trickling lately but last week I had a totally good excuse–the library was closed for several days due to the icy, snowy weather.

It was hard to do after playing in the snow AND being off work for almost a week, but I finally got all the descriptions for our SUMMER activities written! We have all sorts of fun and exciting things planned including crafts, Teens Take Over, an Amazing Race, and the invitation only party. I’m exhausted and sweaty just thinking about it!

More details to come as the summer draws closer. What do you think of the teasers so far? Leave a comment and let us know!

Back to school blues

I know that most of you have started back to school this week. Are you ready for the weekend yet? :)

It’s been such a busy summer, we haven’t been able to keep the blog as updated as we would like to but as things start to settle down, we’re hoping that we’ll FINALLY have a change to catch up (yeah, right!). I still have a lot of great book reviews courtesy of the Summer Reading Club reviewers to post so keep checking back for some great reading suggestions.

We have some fun stuff planned for the Fall including an afternoon of crafting goodness, our version of the Amazing Race®, and a vampire themed masquerade party! We’ll have more details as the days grow closer but, if you ever feel like you just need to know more RIGHT NOW, leave us a comment and we’ll tell you all about it!

TTO this week!

Want to run in the library and use your “outside” voice without getting shhushed?

Teens Take Over @ Josey Ranch Lake library, Tuesday July 14th from 6:30-9pm, is your chance! Come to this teens-only after-hours event for Rock Band, DDR, Wii games, movies, PIZZA, and general craziness (within reason) at the library.

The catch–you have to give us a permission slip signed by your parent to get in the door. Pick one up at either Carrollton library or print one yourself.

See you Tuesday @ 6:30!
