Tech Takeover/Open Mic CANCELLED!

Due to the sleety, snowy, icky weather, tonight’s Tech Takeover and Open Mic has been CANCELLED!! Stay home where you can be cuddly and cozy. Save all your energy for this summer’s Teens Take Overs. I hope we’ll see you then!

Tech Takeover TOMORROW NIGHT

• Prep your Open Mic performance
• Channel your inner rock star for Guitar Hero
• Get warmed up for a DDR workout
• Gather old CDs for the CD swap
• Dig out your library card to go online using the library computers

Start your weekend early at tomorrow night’s Tech Takeover! This library after hours is the perfect way to wrap up the week. It’s a TEENS ONLY event so the library will be ALL YOURS! If you haven’t already, print out a permission slip (PDF) for your parents to sign. If a parent is dropping you off, you can have them sign it there! Tell your friends, neighbors, classmates, cousins…TELL EVERYONE!

Open Mic

Are you burning with American Idol fever?

Take the stage at the library’s Open Mic–you won’t have to worry about facing Randy, Paula, and Simon! Play covers of your favorite songs or your original work.

Not a musician? Perform your own original poetry or a favorite piece.

Artists–display your artwork for others to enjoy.

Whatever your talent, show off your skills during the Tech Takeover MARCH 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Carrollton Public Library at Josey Ranch Lake.
