The City of Carrollton’s Youth Task Force is a group of teens appointed by the City Council. The YTF’s mission is:
The Youth Task Force takes the responsibility of accepting the leadership role for the youth of Carrollton by identifying, prioritizing and acting upon the following key issues concerning youth.
- To be informed about the resources for youth
- To establish and maintain communication between the youth and city government
- To ultimately bring the youth into an active role
Basically, this means that the YTF’s job is to be the voice of Carrollton teens. That’s YOU! The YTF members talks to city employees (that’s me and many other people) about what’s going on with teens in Carrollton. Past YTF members have helped plan at events like Battle of the Bands and, more recently Teens Take Over! YTF member also volunteer at various city activities like the Daddy Daughter Dance AND learn more about city government.
So, what does all this mean to you? Well, know you know you DO have a voice in Carrollton. Also, the YTF is currently accepting applications for new members. So, if you are

- live in Carrollton or attend a Carrollton school,
- need something AWESOME for your college application
- and want to make a difference in the community,
