As you may or may not know, I am one of the Staff Liaisons for the City of Carrollton Youth Task Force (YTF). The YTF is made up of teens from across the city. This group acts as the voice for Carrollton teens to staff as well as the City Council. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about how the City works and to work with teens from different schools. We are currently seeking new members. Members are in grades 6 through 12 and usually remain on the task force until graduation. The YTF meets on the first Monday of EVERY month at 6:30p.m., usually at the Josey Ranch Lake Library.

Current members will be reviewing applications and scheduling interviews for the following week (September 8).
The City of Carrollton’s Youth Task Force is a group of teens appointed by the City Council. The YTF’s mission is:
The Youth Task Force takes the responsibility of accepting the leadership role for the youth of Carrollton by identifying, prioritizing and acting upon the following key issues concerning youth.
Basically, this means that the YTF’s job is to be the voice of Carrollton teens. That’s YOU! The YTF members talks to city employees (that’s me and many other people) about what’s going on with teens in Carrollton. Past YTF members have helped plan at events like Battle of the Bands and, more recently Teens Take Over! YTF member also volunteer at various city activities like the Daddy Daughter Dance AND learn more about city government.
So, what does all this mean to you? Well, know you know you DO have a voice in Carrollton. Also, the YTF is currently accepting applications for new members. So, if you are
