This book is about
A prize winning German Shepherd Dog who twists a leg and is given to a young boy. However he cannot keep her because of her high energy level and genius; especially because of his small backyard. Therefore he donates her to the Army, which Cracker does not like a bit. She has many adventures and bravely goes on, no matter what.

I loved/hated this book because
It is well written, with clever twists in the plot and great characterization. You can smell the fur and hear the barks
